University Foundation in Marketing, Advertising & PR
Bournemouth Business School International (BBSI), one of the most highly-accredited business schools and English language colleges in England, offers international students the opportunity to study English in England while also studying marketing and business concepts, and acquiring the academic study skills required for undergraduate entry to a UK university degree programme. Our University Foundation Course in Marketing, Advertising & Public Relations comprises 30 lessons weekly, and is carefully designed to enable students with an Intermediate level in English or above to prepare for university and also gain worthwhile business and marketing qualifications. Depending on the study option selected, awards include either a BBSI Higher-Certificate or Diploma qualification, plus an NCFE Certificate award.
Study Options. For those with the requisite high-school grades and a sound Upper-Intermediate level in English, we offer a 24-week Higher-Certificate study programme in Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations that enables participants to develop their business, professional and academic skills to a more advanced level of proficiency in shorter time. For those with an Intermediate level in English, however, we offer the 36-week Diploma study option, which builds more gradually in intensity and specialisation and places more emphasis initially on developing proficiency in academic English and study skills prior to the introdcution of more advanced marketing and business training. . The course is conducted around a busy social and activity programme.UK University Placement Service. While undertaking their university foundation course and acquiring the academic study skills necessary for university, students are provided with extensive counselling and guidance in all aspects of study at UK universities, and are given full assistance with the UK university application process. All Foundation students who successfully complete their course are assured of a university place prior to graduation from BBSI.
Both study options facilitate undergraduate entry to a UK university. These courses meet the rigorous standards set by the national education standards agency, the National Qualifications Agency (NQF), and are considered notionally at NQF Level 3 within the British Government's National Qualifications Framework. Successful students will therefore gain both BBSI and NCFE awards.
Study Option 1
The shorter, Higher-Certificate course, Study Option 1, is designed for those students with excellent High School grades and a sound Upper-Intermediate level in English. The course is of 24 weeks duration.Course Outline
