Management Training


Bournemouth Business School International (BBSI), our highly-accredited business college and English language school in Bournemouth, England, UK, has offered management training for international students since 1992 and has a wealth of experience in this field.  BBSI is an Approved Training Centre for and is an Academic Partner of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) .

Our courses are designed to enable students at Intermediate level in English and above to study towards towards one of the new CMI Level 3 qualifications in First-Line Management.  The CMI qualifications are externally accredited and internationally recognised.  They are also flexible, and allow candidates to achieve a qualification at a level to suit their needs and the time available for study.  There are 3 CMI awards available:
CMI Award in First-Line Management
CMI Certificate in First-Line Management
CMI Diploma in First-Line Management
BBSI's courses in management can be tailored to meet the client's needs and are offered in a range of formats, from short-term intensive courses of between 3-10 days to longer-term programmes that supplement BBSI's many other management courses.  Participants can attain the CMI Award in First-Line Management, whilst the CMI Certificate and CMI Diploma awards can be gained through successful completion of a BBSI Higher-Certificate or Diploma course in Management & Business Administration.  The CMI Level 3 modules are as follows:

*  maintaining quality standards

*  personal development as a first line manager
*  recruitment & selection
*  developing individuals & terms
*  improving team performance

Human Resource Management


Special Group Courses

BBSI offers flexibly structured training courses in the UK for international managers and HR managers seeking to develop their knowledge of Human Resource Management (HRM).  The programmes are suitable for candidates with an English level of Intermediate and above. Our courses aim to be practical, and to enable participants to return to their places of work with ideas, and practical plans for implementing best practise. On completion, they will have a good knowledge of activities, strategies, policies and procedures, and will have developed a range of practical tools and techniques for managing personnel at work.

BBSI's courses in HRM can be tailored to meet the client's needs, and are offered in a range of formats, from short-term intensive courses between 3-10 days, to longer-term programmes that supplement BBSI's many other management courses. HRM modules are as follows:

Simply by undertaking the CMI Certificate in First-Line Management, BBSI trainees become student members of CMI, opening up access to a wealth of management information, both during and after their studies.  Moreover, upon successful completion of the CMI Certificate, trainees can:
