Summer Course in Hospitality & Tourism


The BBSI summer course Hospitality & Tourism, is conducted at our English Language School in England and comprises 20 lessons weekly (HSP).
Our summer course in Hospitality & Tourism comprises a study programme of 20 lessons (15 hours) weekly.  The course is designed for those with an English language level of Intermediate (IELTS 5.0) or above, who require to improve their Englsh in the context of hospitality management and tourism and their related fields.  The course is modular in form and is ideal for those who need to function in English in an international environment and who have a work or study-related background in hospitality management, hotel management, tourism, or related fields.

Course Outline
Course Duration.  2-12 weeks
Minimum English Entry Level.  IELTS 5.0 (Intermediate), equivalent to a course leading to
CEFR Level B2
Course Designation.  HSP
Entry Dates.  Entry to this flexible course is weekly from July to September 2010. 
The first entry date for 2010 is 05 July and the last entry date is 13 September.
Minimum Age.  17 years
Award.  BBSI Certificate in Hospitality & Tourism 
Course Structure & Content.  Training focuses on the development of hospitality management and tourism skills and knowledge, and is designed to enable students to develop apropriate business vocabulary and communication skills.  The course combines current hospitality and tourism issues and includes targeted case studies.

      *  the travel industry

*  to develop confidence & fluency in the language beyond Intermediate level
*  to build approriate vocabulary for the hospitality & tourism industry
*  to develop a practical, professional understanding of hospitality management, 
      travel &  tourism

*  to develop understanding of current developments & customer service issues 
      within the travel industry
Learning Outcomes

Participants with good attendance and who complete all class work and self study assignments will be able to function effectively in English in a professional business environment in fields related to hospitality management and international tourism, and will have acquired a sound knowledge and understanding of hospitality and tourism industries.
Course Fees
 
      HSP - £225.00 weekly
BBSI courses are carefully designed and structured at different language levels to enable international students to develop all 4 English language skills simultaneously, while developing their professional communication skills and professional knowledge in academic, vocational or professional context, in the specialised subject of their choice. Students therefore have the flexibility to focus on either academic or vocational progression, depending on their personal training needs and particular learning objectives.
